Just found this rare MZ1000S bike model. For those
of you not familiar with this marque, formally
called MuZ, it was an East-German motorbike company
(started production in 1922) that changed its
name to MZ after the unification of Germany. Subsequently,
they sold good numbers in Europe, but not elsewhere.
The bikes were relatively cheap and very good
value for money, but didn’t have great resale
value. The company closed down in 2008, but there
are plans to revive it in 2010 by its new owners.
